This will be the first year we've done a eurotrip, before we've just gone to Le Mans. I worked out that for 3 of us, in a car doing 18mpg average, including le mans camping and admission, fuel, beer, food and eurotunnel should cost about £700 each.. £225 of that is fuel though, so if you're in a diesel or something it will be much cheaper.

A few mates are going just for Le Mans and we're meeting them there, and they're planning on it being about £250 each I think, which is about what we've spent the last 2 years.

Little update, dates for this have been set as 4th - 13th June. Everyone's meeting at my place (Just outside Bicester) at 7pm on the 4th, then we're meeting a few others coming from London at Dover at about 10pm, going on the trip (Route is on the 1st page), then returning at about 8pm 13th June.

Dan, Jonathon, Mark and Tom were all interested, anybody else?

Everything will be booked in April so you've got a little while to save up :D

Depends heavily on fuel to be honest man. I'm banking on £550 on fuel if I get an S4, but that's at about 18mpg, if you took your B6 then it would be more like £200. (It's about 2300miles or so)

We always buy our tickets from SpeedChills around April time, it's £181 for 2 general admission tickets and a camping pitch in Beausejour.

Not decided on either ferry or Eurotunnel yet, ferry is £40, tunnel is £120, but only takes 35mins and nobody throws up!

Plus epic amounts of beer and burgers, and the odd toll (Switzerland etc)

Best way to do it is get 2 or 3 of you in a car and share the cost, then you have more money for crisps and women

i suggest you go with whatever doesn't have BASTARD humps to get on to.. having never gone on the eurotunnel I wouldn't know, but those ferrys are killer!

Agreed the ferry is a bastard with humps and proper steep ramps, but if you let them know when you arrive at the port, they will let you go downstairs with the lorries, Eurotunnel is fine, no bumps or big ramps and to be honest is what I want to go on, but a few people are moaning about the extra like £80 (I think its worth it, only takes 35mins and you don't worry about people banging your door etc)

You realised that you have no choice but to come then Rich? :D
